Update Firmware

Step-by-step instructions for updating the firmware on your Kiwi Pro device

Kiwi Pro supports firmware updates in the field. If your Kiwi Pro is performing as expected, there's no need for a firmware update. However, if you encounter issues, upgrading to the latest firmware might help resolve them. Here’s how to update your Kiwi Pro firmware:

  1. Contact the Cytrence support team to get the latest firmware.

  2. Plug in your Kiwi Pro to your host computer.

  3. Open the Kiwi application.

  4. Connect your Kiwi Pro device.

  5. Navigate to the "About..." menu. If the Kiwi Pro is successfully connected, you will see the current firmware version.

  6. In the "About..." dialog, click the "Select Firmware..." button, then find and select the new firmware file. The firmware file has a '.ufw' extension.

  7. Click the "Update" button to start the update.

  8. After the update, unplug the Kiwi Pro and plug it in again. The new firmware will now be in use.

Note: Make sure the Kiwi Pro is securely connected during the update to avoid damaging the firmware.
