# Does Kiwi require a device driver?

* On macOS and Linux, no driver is needed.
* On Windows, driver installation is usually handled automatically. However, in rare cases, restrictive group policies or organization-specific settings may prevent automatic setup. Kiwi is designed to detect such situations and will display a help message on the home screen if needed. It may also notify you if a reboot is required.
