When pins 1 and 3 are set up as UART, you have the option to connect them either to a virtual serial port or to the built-in UART terminal of the Kiwi device.
The UART pins can be connected to the target computer or any other device equipped with a UART port.
The connection configuration will not be activated until you click the "Apply Settings" button.
When the pins are set up as UART connected to the built-in terminal, you can open the terminal by navigating to Advanced -> UART Terminal in the menu.
