System Requirements

System requirements for the host computer:

  • USB-C or USB-A 3.0+ port

  • Cytrence Kiwi application installed.

  • Operating Systems:

    • Windows 10 or 11 (x86_64 only)

    • macOS 12 (Monterey), 13 (Ventura), or 14 (Sonoma)

      1. Supports both Intel and Apple Silicon processors

      2. Recommended: Machines with M1 chip or newer

    • Ubuntu Linux 22.04 LTS or Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (x86_64 only)

Kiwi requires a USB serial device driver to function on Windows. When Kiwi is plugged into a Windows machine for the first time, Windows may need to automatically download the device driver if it's not already installed. A working internet connection is required for this process. This installation only occurs once.

System requirements for the target computer:

  • HDMI port / DisplayPort (with HDMI adapter) / VGA port (with HDMI adapter)

  • USB port

Using a VGA port with an HDMI adapter does not support audio output to the host computer.

The target computer does not require any setup or software installation to use Cytrence Kiwi.
