# System Requirements

**System requirements for the host computer:**

* USB-C or USB-A 3.0+ port
* Cytrence Kiwi application installed.
* Operating Systems:
  * **Windows** 10 or 11 (x86\_64 or ARM64)
  * **macOS** 12 (Monterey), 13 (Ventura), 14 (Sonoma), 15 (Sequoia) or 26 (Tahoe)
    1. Supports both Intel and Apple Silicon processors
    2. Recommended: Machines with M1 chip or newer
  * **Ubuntu** 22.04, **Ubuntu** 24.04 or **Debian** 13 (x86\_64 only)

Kiwi requires a USB serial device driver to function on Windows. When Kiwi is plugged into a Windows machine for the first time, Windows may need to automatically download the device driver if it's not already installed. A working internet connection is required for this process. This installation only occurs once.

**System requirements for the target computer:**

* HDMI port / DisplayPort (with HDMI adapter) / VGA port (with HDMI adapter)
* USB port

The target computer does not require any setup or software installation to use Cytrence Kiwi.
