# Update Firmware Manually

Manual firmware updates are only supported for Kiwi Pro.

Follow these steps to manually update your Kiwi Pro firmware:

1. Contact the Cytrence support team to get the firmware version you need.
2. Plug in your Kiwi Pro to your host computer.
3. Open the Cytrence Kiwi application.
4. Connect your Kiwi Pro device.
5. Navigate to the "About..." menu. If the Kiwi Pro is successfully connected, you will see the current firmware version.
6. In the "About..." dialog, click the "Pick a File..." button, then find and select the new firmware file. The firmware file has a '.ufw' extension.
7. Click the "Update to" button to start the update.
8. Once the update is complete, the new firmware will take effect immediately. There's no need to unplug and plug the Kiwi.
